I recently got the x8 2.1 PAYG from Three and my main reason from switching to Three after years with T-mobile is the free Three skype-to-skype service. Now, they tell me it is not compatible with the x8. I do not want to download the market version of Skype. Is there a way of still getting Three’s version installed?

If you’re on your x8 then go to the app store, type in skype and all that look fir what you’re looking for then press download then press ok

Cannot get the microphone to work on my Xperia 8 with Skype. Can only make silent calls. any ideas
Skype v2 -proposed as update by Market- *DOES NOT WORK* with the Xperia X8 (and X10 apparently), sound is OK but microphone does not work. Other Andoid phones do not suffer from this quirk.
Made the mistake to update while in holiday in the US and all calls were muted.
The version I use now is v1.0.0.984.
