Hi Med,
The Xperia X8 has 256MB RAM
the X10 mini only 128MB.
Another thing is the display resolution.
X8 has 480×320 pixels
X10 mini ONLY 320×240.

The Xperia X8 is here the winner.

I can not use my Xperia X8 camera without using a memory card, is there any way I can use it? Why won’t it use the phone memory instead? Thanks

Hi Queenie,
The phone is using the memory card as storage for your photos. If it won’t use the SD card, the phone RAM will be full after few camera shots. If you don’t have any Micro SD card, just get one from eBay. The price for 4GB SanDisk is under £5 in UK. On the US market it’s even cheaper. And on 4GB card is possibility to store pictures from whole holiday.

Hi Raj,
there will be no more official Android updates for Xperia X8, the 2.1 is the last. And I’m sorry I don’t know about any free app with digital zoom.

Hi everyone,
I have some questions for you. Is the Xperia X8 RAM can be upgraded? And Is the os x8 gingerbread can be upgraded to 2.3? Thank you

Hi Fajar,
There is no chance to upgrade the RAM. The X8 is just phone not a laptop or computer. And yes, it is a possibility to upgrade the Android even to Ice Cream Sandwich. BUT using unofficial versions ONLY. Sony Ericsson don’t support Android upgrades for Xperia X8 anymore.
If you are just planning to get new phone, don’t look at Xperia X8 anymore, there is much better one from Sony Ericsson with name Xperia Mini Pro.
